Paul (motivator) Futcher's speaks in his new Column!!!

Well another succesful season. I don't know what all those fans are complaining about, I took them to wembley you know. And it was by no means a fluke we may have only played one decent side who were midtable in the conference at the time and scraped through with an offside goal, but it was well deserved. Also I think 16th in the a league where we normally top 5 is very respectable. As for this season there were some great performences, well one at mansfield. As for the other county cups it was nice to see some of the fring players getting friendly with the fans, Stuart Quinn has turned into a real hero at the club now. And as for the FGR trophy game as I said in the echo I could completely understand the fans reaction because of the performace, even though at the time all I was saying was F*** O**, me and the fans love the friendly bannter. We finished 18th (even though I did say we would be top 5) this is again very respectible. It was a real shame to see the fans fravourate Butler go, even though I did see fit to drop him at any excuse he was always the first name on the team sheet. The top priorty for next season is to sign to proven goalscore like we have been trying to do for the past 18 months. But I sure you trust me in the transfer market, letting players like Whittaker and O'reilly, it was much better to keep players like Ross and Quinn. So roll on next season The championship will be ours even though we only buy unibond players. Come on the Port!!!!! (Non of the above is actully Paul Futcher it's me honest!!)

Well another season over, even though this season has been awful I'm missing it already. There are alot af questions to be answered at the club over the next few months, like is Paul Futcher the man we to do the job, will we spend the money, will we buy any established players. Only time will tell, but with the fans not happy with the way the last couple of seasons have gone Paul is running out of chance's. Lets hope the club comes good and does at LAST spend the cash AND give the wages to really compete, but with Yeovil spending big and know doubt Rushden will soon follow suit, It's going to be a tall order!!
